''Holidays are not a date on a calendar, they are a state of mind''

PLEASE NOTE: WALES: SELF-CATERING ACCOMMODATION FOR SINGLE HOUSEHOLDS (WALES/ENG) WILL BE ALLOWED FROM 12 APRIL (SCOTS NO DATE YET)

MULTI-HOUSEHOLD BOOKINGS WILL BE PERMITTED FROM 3 MAY.

In the stunning Vale of Clwyd sits Cae Gwyn (pronounced kye g'win) a beautiful Georgian country house and a group of characterful stone and slate farm buildings.

The Creamery, The Hideaway and The Bothy offer stylish accommodation with character but also offer modern luxuries like WiFi, central heating, modern kitchens, wood burner (The Creamery/The Bothy), marvellously comfortable beds, quality fittings and even a wood fired hot tub - for those keen to prove their eco credentials!

Unlike some, our accommodation includes services like electricity, heating and hot water ...and we like to look after you by providing free of charge those little things you might otherwise forget (milk and bread, kitchen/washing detergents, loo rolls and soap....even DVDs and books and games to wile the hours away...).

Uniquely located in the Vale of Clwyd (a protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) nr St Asaph, with magnificent views into the Vale and on to Snowdonia National Park beyond, and yet central to so many of the things that North Wales and Cheshire have to offer: the World Heritage site of Conwy; the lovely Isle of Anglesey; Snowdonia National Park; the North Wales coast with its fine sandy beaches; the ancient walled City of Chester with its black and white shopping rows (and even the UK’s largest designer shopping outlet!).

A stay with us gives you access to our knowledge of the local area, whether it be the best places to eat, great days out or calming walks on the beautiful hills right from your door.

Browse this site to see what a special experience you will have at Cae Gwyn and then feel free to call or email us with your special requests...or just book!

NB: as you might imagine, some IMPORTANT CHANGES have to occur, because COVID-19 remains prevalent in the UK.

Firstly, because Cae Gwyn is our family home, we have to consider the increased exposure to our family. In this regard, we are requesting guests to bring their own bed linen & towels:

• King sheets x1

• King duvet cover x1

• pillowcases x4

• towels suitable for hot tub/beach trips/sauna

We will supply a (COVID appropriate) duvet inner and liner & comfy pillows x4.

Secondly, we will be meeting new industry cleaning protocols to ensure you feel safe coming to a new environment. We will supply hand sanitiser, antibacterial spray and wipes for your use during your stay. Rubbish bins & bags are provided and guests are requested to take rubbish with them as they check-out.

Thirdly, there will be an optional no-contact check-in. Please note because of the extra requirements, earliest check in will be 4pm and a slightly earlier check-out time of 9.30am (check-out may be flexible depending on bookings). There may also be a small delay bringing the hot tub up to temperature (The Hideaway only).

We trust, in the current circumstances, you understand these changes, and we would like to offer guests a complimentary bottle of Prosecco-on-ice in recognition of this.
